Booked for 2 nights and had an amazing time. Price was awesome, the site was basic, but toilets were clean, washing area does not have warm water, however there is a reason for that. Yes you have to pay for the showers but the 5 minutes were more like 20 when we used them. Excellent fire pit service and wood supplied on site at a cheap rate, and I would rather the money went into their pockets than some supermarket or garage. The owners are super friendly and joined all the kids on site for a late night wildlife walk - our kids loved hanging out with them. We had a safe, fun time and will definitely be going back now we have found it. Charlie and Elliott cannot wait to come back and see you!

We only intended to stay for 1 or 2 nights but, we loved it so much we stayed for 5! Camp site is run by lovely friendly people and, is in a beautiful quiet location. Has everything we need; toilets, showers and pot washing. Ideal location for visiting moors, dales, Leeds and York. We will certainly be back and highly recommend this site.

We had a wonderful time at Moss Hagg Farm. We got there late at night and got lost on our bikes, but Ian kindly came out in the car to direct us there. We will be returning with friends later in the year for another camping trip on the bikes and a nice camp fire. Thank you Moss Hagg and see you later. :)

The best campsites on the Trans-Pennine Trail cycle route Question:- Which campsites would you recommend on the Trans-Pennine Trail cycle route? Answer;- The Trans Pennine Trail (TPT) is an exciting route for walkers and cyclists and passes through some of the most historic towns and cities in the North of England. There’s an abundance of campsites along the way but a nice place to start in the west is the Holly Bank Caravan Park near Lymm - a large family site with very hospitable staff. The nearby Lymefield Farm, Hyde, Cheshire, is a small and delightful campsite, and is actually part of a garden centre. Moving east along the Pennine Way, Woodland View Caravan site near the picturesque market town of Penistone is situated within a green belt and has fantastic views. You can easily access the Trail from this site and it makes a great stop-off. There’s also the Moss Hagg Farm located on the outskirts of Selby in North Yorkshire, which is well maintained and has very accommodating owners. Further east in Seaton near Hornsea is the White Cottage camping and caravan site – good value and near the beach.

This was our 3rd stay at Moss Hagg and it was great yet again, a very relaxed atmosphere and a night of drinking by the fire was fantastic. The owner helped us jump start the car the next day due to a flat battery. We will be back again when ever the weather is hot : )
